rich history, vibrant atmosphere and numerous beaches, Budva is one of the
foremost Montenegrin tourist destinations.
This scenic town, surrounded by fortified walls, with cobbled streets and beautiful stone buildings, has a history spanning more than 2,500 years, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. The Old Town and its promenade host a large number of bars, pubs, and restaurants, as well as diverse shops. Budva also has the reputation as the nightlife capital of the eastern Adriatic, and features several casinos attached to hotels.
The Budva Riviera features 17 beaches – from sand to pebbles and rocks. The rocky island of Sveti Nikola lies only a kilometer from the Budva waterfront and features a high cliff, three large sandy beaches, and numerous smaller ones. Five kilometers to the south, connected to Budva by a seaside promenade, lies Sveti Stefan, an incredibly picturesque Mediterranean town set on a mini peninsula, with 15th-century terracotta-roofed buildings.
